  10. Take 1 kg Basmati rice. Washed and soaked for an hour
  11. Take 3 Tbsps oil
  12. Get Food Colour
  13. Take to taste Salt

  1. Mix all the ingredients for the Biriani sauce with the chicken. (Cut the chicken in the size you prefer) Marinate for 30mins
  2. Heat up oil in a pan add the marinated mixture and stir. Cover in medium heat for 15mins
  3. Add the blended tomatoes and stir, add more spices if needed. Cover and let it cook for another 15mins
  4. Add the fried potatoes and onions. Leave a handful of onions which is to be added on the rice. Stir and let it cook for 10mins.
  5. For the rice, since it's been soaked for an hour, 1 cup of rice =1.5 cup of water. Boil the water, add the oil and salt then pour in the rice. Stir and let it cook until rice is soft.
  6. Mix a small amount of food colour with water. Pour it on one side of the rice. Cover, reduce heat and let it steam for 10mins
  7. Mix remaining fried onions in the rice and serve. Enjoy
