The ingredients needed to make Chicken Biryani:
  1. Prepare 2 cups Basmati Rice
  2. Make ready 10 or more Chicken pieces
  3. Get Cup yoghurt
  4. Make ready Tablespoon garlic ginger paste
  5. Get 1 handful Coriander leaves
  6. Take 2 tablespoons Garam Masala
  7. Prepare 2 medium sized onions
  8. Make ready Teaspoon turmeric or food coloring
Instructions to make Chicken Biryani:
  1. Soak and wash Basmati rice. Parboil rice with some whole spices and keep aside
  2. Fry onions until brown. Remove 3/4 of the onions. Add garlic ginger paste. Add chicken cutlets and Garam masala and fry. Add the blended scotch bonnets and tomatoes. Fry. Add the yoghurt and fry until the oil is on top to make a chicken curry.
  3. Lastly is layering. Add half of the rice in a clean pot. Add the chicken curry and sprinkle fried onions and coriander leaves. Add another layer of rice and curry and then onions with coriander. Sprinkle a cup of soaked turmeric water
  4. Cover tightly and cook on low heat until done.
  5. I served mine with potato soup and garlic naan.
