The ingredients needed to make Mutton Biryani:
  1. Get 2 cup basmati long grain rice (400g), 2 tbsp salt, 2 green cardamom, 3-4 cloves, 1 inch cinnamon stick, 1/2 tsp cumin, 1/2 tsp black pepper, 1 tbsp oil
  2. Prepare 500 g mutton, 1 cup curd (200g), 2 tbsp ginger garlic paste, 2 medium size fried onion paste, 4-5 green chillies, 1/2 cup coriander leave, 1 tsp salt,
  3. Take 1 tbsp biryani masala powder, 1 tsp pili mirch ka powder, 1/2 tsp kewara water, 1 lemon juice, 1 tbsp milk, orange food colour,
  4. Make ready 1 tsp cumin, 1 black cardamom, 4 green cardamom,1/2 tsp black pepper, 5-6 cloves, 1 inch cinnamon stick, 1 mace, 4-5 tbsp oil
Steps to make Mutton Biryani:
  1. First marinate mutton with all ingredients written in the ingredient section but don't add all whole spice this is for tadka and marinate it for at least 2 hr..
  2. Now take a pressure add 4-5 tbsp of oil add all whole spices and marinated mutton cover with lid and cook for 10-12 minutes on low medium heat till mutton becomes soft and tender
  3. Now take a pot add water all spices salt and once water boiled add soaked rice and cook it for at least 50-60% done
  4. Now transfer the cooked mutton into the pot what ever you used for making biryani add boiled rice and layered with coriander, mint, green chilli, kewara water and food colour..
  5. Now cover with lid and cook for 10-15 minutes on low flame
  6. Now your biryani is ready to serve.
