  1. Prepare 2 lbs ground meat
  2. Take 2-3 whole tomatoes
  3. Get 1 lb peeled & deveined shrimp
  4. Get 1 lb bag of dried kidney beans
  5. Take 3-4 bell peppers
  6. Get 1 lb pork bacon
  7. Make ready 1-2 yellow onions
  8. Get 1 lb Sausage (your choice)
  9. Take 32 oz broth (your choice)
  10. Take 2 packs McCormicks chilli seasonings
  11. Prepare 1/3 cup brown sugar
  12. Take 24 oz pasta sauce
  13. Take 3 tablespoons yellow mustard
  14. Get 3 tablespoons black pepper
  15. Take 1/3 cup chilli powder
  16. Prepare 2 teaspoon paprika
  17. Get 1 teaspoon salt
  18. Prepare 1 teaspoon cumin
  19. Prepare 1 teaspoon ginger
  20. Prepare 1 teaspoon basil
  21. Take 1/4 cup parsley
  22. Get 1/2 cup Worcestershire sauce
  23. Prepare 2 tablespoons garlic powder
  24. Make ready 1/2 cup barbecue sauce
  25. Prepare 2 cups rice
  26. Take 1/2 cup fresh cilantro

This historical dive once served food, though the kitchen hasn't been used in years.   6. Add 3-4 cups of water to pot. High heat for about an hour. *YOU MUST CONTINUE STARRING & MIXING DURING THIS HOUR SO THAT CHILLI DOESN’T BURN !!!
  7. Take away from heat & let sit for another hour. Once cooled somewhat, this will allow you to taste & add whatever you may feel you need more of. Turn heat to a simmer, & let it ride. Turning & starring here & there, insuring no burning or sticking is taking place. I simmer mines for nearly 4-5 hours. Once I’m sure it’s complete, add shrimp & continue simmer for another 10-20 mins. Bowl up & enjoy.

Once I had verified that this recipe in these amounts could be canned "safely", the only variation worth noting is the time to cook my standard chili recipe versus the time to process safely the jars of canned chili, according to current canning guidelines. The trick is to undercook the onions.
