Hello everybody, it is me again, Dan, welcome to my recipe site. Today, we’re going to prepare a special dish, apple pie. It is one of my favorites. For mine, I will make it a bit unique. This will be really delicious.

An apple pie is a pie in which the principal filling ingredient is apple. It is often served with whipped cream, ice cream ("apple pie à la mode"), or cheddar cheese. I remember coming home sullen one day because we'd lost a softball game.

  2. Make ready 200 gms maida
  3. Get 100 gms butter salted
  4. Get 1 tbsp milk
  5. Get 50 gms icing sugar

  9. Make ready 50 gms white granular sugar
  10. Take 1 tbsp fresh cinnamon powder
  11. Take 1/4 tsp clove powder

This Apple Pie has two layers of buttery crisp pastry enclosing slices of tangy sweet apples covered We start this Apple Pie by making the Apple Filling. I do this step first, even before I make the pastry. The Apple Pie, with its two rounds of pastry enclosing slices of cinnamon sugared apples, is a favorite dessert in North America. This Apple Pie Recipe combines the sweet and tender flavors of baked apples with a deliciously flaky pie crust.

Steps to make Apple pie:
  1. For the pie crust, in a mixing bowl take maida, add chilled cubes of butter & rub it with your hands till you get a crumbly mix, then add cold milk & combine everything together, do not knead the dough.
  2. Once everything comes together cling wrap the dough & refrigerate it for 30 mins.
  3. After 30mins, preheat the oven to 180°c, remove the dough from the fridge & roll a thick chapati out of it,place it in a pie mould & press firmly, prick it with fork & place some kidney beans on it & bake it in a preheated oven for 18-20min.
  4. For apple pie filling, take butter in a saucepan,add diced apples to it & cook it for 15-20 mins on medium heat, once apples become little soft add both sugars & again cook it for 10min, you will see that apples start to caramelize after sometime, then add cinnamon & clove powder & cook it for another 10 mins till a thick filling is ready.
  5. Cool the apple filling a little, then fill it in the prebaked pie crust, cover it with pie dough strips & again bake it for 15 mins over 180°c till the top strips get a colour.
  6. Note- the second time pie should be baked only with the top coil on,so as to get the colour on the top side.
  7. Serve it warm with a scoop of vanilla ice cream.
