The ingredients needed to make Football Chilli:
  1. Get 4.5 lbs groundbeef
  2. Get 2 tablespoons Seasoning of choice(Dale's seasonings)
  3. Take 1 can petite diced tomatoes
  4. Get 1 can tomato sauce
  5. Prepare 1 can roasted corn
  6. Get 2 large can of tomatoe juice
  7. Get 6 packets Chilli powder
  8. Make ready 1 can black beans
  9. Take 1 can chilli beans
  10. Take 1 can kidney beans
  11. Take 1 small onion diced petite and sauteed
  12. Get Toppings to add to the chilli
  13. Make ready Shredded Cheese
  14. Make ready Jalapeno peppers
  15. Take Hot sauce
  16. Get Sour cream
  17. Take Spaghetti
  18. Take 1 batch cornbread
  19. Make ready Petite diced onions
  20. Get Tortilla chips
  21. Make ready Oyster Crackers

Now add the remaining chili powder and another dash of salt and pepper, but DO NOT add brown sugar until after the chili is finished simmering. When done simmering, add the brown sugar and stir well. Serve with milk and crackers, or top with sour cream and cheese. Note: For spicier chili, omit brown.

Instructions to make Football Chilli:
  1. In skillet fry the ground beef.(I use Dale's seasoning or you can use my recipe I make when I run out of Dale's) Season with my substitute version of Dale's, or dale's seasoning picture below. In a real pinch use Worcestershire, steak seasoning (I use longhorn).
  2. Saute the onions in butter in the same pan that you fried the groundbeef in til desired doneiness.
  3. In large pot add the juice, sauce, beans, chilli powder, petite tomatoes, corn, cooked groundbeef and the sauteed onions. Let simmer for 1/2 hr.
  4. Ladle up a bowl of chilli. Top with toppings of choice (I like cornbread, cheese, sour cream and hot sauce). Enjoy.

For me, football, cool weather and chili just seem to go together.
